Summary of A41
Jörg Kottenbrink and Dennis Poetz arrived back in Erlangen, Germany, after a spectacular week in Montreal, Canada, at the 41th ICAO General Assembly. EMPIC has joined several ICAO Assemblies before, but this one was different. EMPIC decided to bring the Bavarian culture to Montreal where all 193 states from all over the world brought their own culture in the sense of clothing and habits. Jörg Kottenbrink and Dennis Poetz wore traditional Bavarian costumes which turned out to be an absolute eye catcher. “The interest of people was incredibly high to know more about us, our tradition, and our products” expressed Jörg Kottenbrink. This year EMPIC was invited to join several evening receptions of country delegations with traditional food, music, and cultural inserts. These events provided the opportunity to strengthen established contacts and continue discussions started during the day. The conference was also useful to spread the knowledge about EMPIC and our world-leading product EMPIC-EAP® to smaller countries where information and technology are not yet available for everyone. EMPIC will help these national aviation authorities to digitalize their business processes and gain a structured and transparent overview on their aviation industry. Pre-defined check points reduce human mistakes and guided information supports the staff members in their functions as aviation regulators. After 20 years in the market and showing EMPIC’s products during the USOAP audits, ICAO is aware of EMPIC-EAP® and its positive contribution.
It was a pleasure to meet our clients as well as possible interested parties face-to-face which led to productive and inspiring gatherings throughout the entire week.
EMPIC would like to congratulate all selected ICAO council states and thank all member states for their interest and contribution in making the sky a safer place. “No country left behind”.
